Our Story
The mission of Tenacious is to provide opportunities, foster relationships, and facilitate experiences that will promote the skills and traits necessary to put young people on a path to become successful students, athletes, and citizens of society. Our mission is also to drive the culture of lacrosse toward becoming more inclusive and inspire a more diverse generation of prominent lacrosse players. As professional players, it is not only our duty to represent the prestigious players who came before us, but it is also our responsibility to adequately train the new players to come.
Vision
Our vision is to empower scholars who are most likely at risk for academic decline and dropout to rise above their challenges and reach their full potential. Lacrosse is the conduit by which we achieve our mission. Most of our students enter our programs on equal footing, which gives students the confidence to work hard and take risk.
By connecting lacrosse enthusiasts and underserved communities, we will enrich populations across nations. This program has the potential to change the trajectories of at-risk youth through daily wrap-around academic support, mentoring, leadership training, college readiness career, exploration, admissions counseling, and lacrosse instruction. We will maintain a daily presence in the schools and in the lives of the students we serve in order to build their confidence and skill sets. This will help our students reach their full personal and professional potential.
